The Barner Center—Friendship Meals

Did you know ANYONE can eat at the Barner Center? Friendship Meals are open to everyone, not just those 60 and over. Although our program is designed as a nutrition program for seniors, it's so much more! Where else can you get good homemade food close to home for only $5.00 per plate? That's right. For unregistered participants, it only costs $5.00 per meal. The catch? We DO need a reservation so we can make sure there's plenty of food to go around. We have an answering machine so you can leave a message if you wake up early or are up late. Office hours are Monday - Friday 9:30 - 1:00 for questions or if you want to stop in and check us out. We're conveniently located at 500 N Logan here in Belle Plaine.

The Barner Center is a great resource for connecting with the community. Join in on the monthly bingo game day or just show up and visit. There's always a great conversation. The Barner Center also provides regular health checks such as blood pressure, foot care clinic, and flu shots through the Sumner County Health Department.
